Policies
Please read all Policies closely
We continue to operate under our standard check-in & check out policy. Check-in time is 3 pm or after with check-out by 11 am. Please refer to our website for our cancellation policy. Your full payment is due on arrival. We accept Visa, Master Card, and Discover, cash, and personal checks with ID. Please remember that we do not allow smoking of any sort in our rooms, on balconies, or on the grounds. Also, there are no pets allowed in the rooms.
EARLY CHECK-IN AND CHECKOUT: Automation has revolutionized how we operate with many advantages in how we use remote locks and keyless entry. Because these are pre-programmed systems, there are restrictions that make it challenging for us to respond to immediate requests for early check-ins or late checkouts. At this time we cannot guarantee a service request for early check-in or late checkout. If you would like to make a request, we require a minimum 18-hour notice so that we can effectively 1) ascertain how a change would impact our housekeeping schedule, and 2) determine when the heartbeat of our remote door lock system will sync to communicate a change to your room's lock.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL USE: Green Gables Inn is a smoke-free destination. Smoking, or vaping tobacco, or marijuana is not allowed in the rooms or on the grounds. However, partaking in edibles and alcoholic drinks is acceptable if used responsibly.
PETS: At this time, pets are not allowed in the rooms. Check back with us in the future as we are planning to convert several rooms to accommodate for pets by 2025 season.
DAMAGES: You will be held financially responsible for any damages to property during your stay at Green Gables Inn. This includes, but is not limited to mitigation of strong odors such as marijuana, or tobacco smoke, scented candles, and vaping odors, charged at a minimum fee of $200. A minimum charge for keeping a pet in one of our rooms is also $200. Damages to furniture and other items in rooms on the property will be assessed according to the level of damage. Payment for damages will be charged to the card on file and notice will be given to the guest of such damage.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES: As a guest you will be held responsible for any additional room charges. Refer below for an itemized list of additional room offerings and charges.
PROCESSING FEE: A 3% processing fee will be applied when using a credit card for payment. If you prefer to pay with cash please let us know in advance of your check-in date.

No Pets allowed. Valid documentation is required for a service animal to stay with a guest. Emotional Support Animals are not Service Animals.

Because our systems are automated, we are not able to offer early check-in or late check out at this time
CANCELLATION POLICY
Green Gables Inn on the Riverside in Lanesboro is a small, privately owned boutique hotel that is open seasonally from spring to fall. Late cancellations are difficult to fill and have an impact on our business. For these reasons we have changed our cancellation policy
All cancellations are subject to partial, or full forfeiture of the amount of the reservation dependent on length of notice:

Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance of your reservation date:
$50 per room deposit will be forfeit and the reservation will be cancelled at no additional charge -
Cancellations made 2 to 6 days in advance of your reservation date:
the full amount of the reserved stay will be charged. Upon collection of payment in full for the cancelled room, a gift voucher for the full amount less the $50 deposit (per room) may be issued at the discretion of the manager on duty -
Cancellations made 1 day or less in advance of your reservation date:
the full amount of the reserved stay will be forfeit

Early checkouts where the renter vacates the room ahead of reserved checkout date do not qualify for a refund or gift voucher

Reservations for 3 or more rooms must cancel 1 month prior and are subject to loss of deposit on the rooms
