Rates & Policies

We continue to operate under our standard check-in & check out policy. Check-in time is 3 pm or after with check-out by 11 am. Please refer to our website for our cancellation policy. Your full payment is due on arrival. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and AMEX, cash. We do not accept checks. Please remember that we do not allow smoking of any sort in our rooms, on balconies, or on the grounds. Also, there are no pets allowed in the rooms.

EARLY CHECK-IN AND CHECKOUT: Automation has revolutionized how we operate with many advantages in how we use remote locks and keyless entry. Because these are pre-programmed systems, there are restrictions that make it challenging for us to respond to immediate requests for early check-ins or late checkouts. At this time we cannot guarantee a service request for early check-in or late checkout. If you would like to make a request, we require a minimum 18-hour notice so that we can effectively 1) ascertain how a change would impact our housekeeping schedule, and 2) determine when the heartbeat of our remote door lock system will sync to communicate a change to your room's lock.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL USE: Green Gables Inn is a smoke-free destination. Smoking, or vaping of any substance including tobacco, or marijuana is not allowed in the rooms or on the grounds. However, partaking in edibles and alcoholic drinks is acceptable if used responsibly.

PETS: At this time, pets are not allowed in the rooms.

DAMAGES: Guests will be held financially responsible for any damages to property during their stay at Green Gables Inn. This includes, but is not limited to mitigation of strong odors such as marijuana, or tobacco smoke, scented candles, and vaping odors, charged at a minimum fee of $200. A minimum charge for keeping a pet in one of our rooms is also $200. Damages to furniture and other items in rooms on the property will be assessed according to the level of damage. Payment for damages will be charged to the card on file and notice will be given to the guest of such damage.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES: As a guest you will be held responsible for any additional room charges. Refer below for an itemized list of additional room offerings and charges.

PROCESSING FEE: A 3% processing fee will be applied when using a credit card for payment. If you prefer to pay with cash please let us know in advance of your check-in date.

THE BASICS:

• Minimum rates per night are set at standard double occupancy. Pre-season or Holiday rates vary

• Sales and lodging Tax Additional. Rates are subject to change without prior notice

• Add $25.00 for each additional adult (15 and over). Children 15 and under are free with parent

• A 50% deposit per room will be charged to your card at time of reservation

• Roll-away beds available for additional $25.00

• Additional room services such as extra pillows or blankets are available. Call to make arrangements prior to check-in for these items

• No Pets allowed. Valid documentation is required for a service animal to stay with a guest. Emotional Support Animals are not Service Animals.

• No Vaping, Smoking, or Marijuana in the rooms or on the grounds

• Must show a valid driver's license. Must provide a valid credit card.

HOURS​

• OFFICE HOURS: available by phone, or for guests daily from 11am - 7pm

• LOUNGE HOURS: guest access only using door code access only from 7am - 9pm
   

• CHECK-IN : After 3pm

• CHECKOUT: by 11am. (after 11:00 am, $25 per hour will be charged)

MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENT: During peak season~May 15 - Nov. 6, on weekends a 2-night minimum stay (Fri and Sat, or Sat and Sun) is required

Because our systems are automated, we are not able to offer early check-in or late check out without advanced notice

CANCELLATION POLICY​

Green Gables Inn on the Riverside in Lanesboro is a small, privately owned boutique hotel that is open seasonally from spring to fall. Late cancellations are difficult to fill and have an impact on our business. For these reasons we have changed our cancellation policy

CANCELLATIONS:

​All cancellations are subject to partial, or full forfeiture of the amount of the reservation dependent on length of notice:​​

• All cancellations forfeit the amount of the deposit

• Cancellations within 6 days of the check-in date will forfeit the remaining balance of the full reservation
   

EARLY CHECKOUTS: no credit offered

• Reservations for 3 or more rooms must cancel 1 month prior and are subject to loss of deposit on the rooms
